Hi, this is Pascale Bernasse with French Wine Explorers and this is your Tuesday Tip in About a Minute. Paris is well-known as a food mecca, but did you know it’s also a great place to taste French wine–and in particular champagne? Today we’re going to go over our top three champagne bars to visit for your next trip to France.

  1. The first champagne bar we recommend you visit is Le Dokhan’s which is located in the Hotel Le Dokhan’s Trocadero. What I love about this bar is that first of all it’s the oldest champagne bar in Paris so it really exudes an old world style, and if you’re lucky enough you can sit somewhere where you have a view of the Eiffel Tower. They offer 50 bottles of champagne on their menu, including five by the glass, which they switch out regularly between rosés and whites. Highlights include special champagne tastings and flights paired with chocolate and sometimes even caviar.
  2. The second champagne bar we recommend is Le Baudelaire. What I love about this champagne bar is it has a modern, sleek decor and it even offers seating outside, weather permitting, which is a great place to enjoy a flute of champagne. Also they offer 40 bottles of champagne on their menu, so you’re sure to find one that will please you.
  3. Our third champagne bar that we recommend is Bar 8 in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Not only do they offer 40 bottles of champagne on their menu, but some really amazing cocktails based with champagne, as well. In addition, their modern decor and outdoor seating is the best, bar none.

And that’s it! That’s your Tuesday Tip in About a Minute.
