What to Pack: Traveling With Only a Carry-On

In this video we offer tips on what to pack when traveling to France and hopefully we inspire you to travel with only a carry-on. We will reveal what we call the top ten travel essentials – clothes that will get you through a week or a month abroad, and you’ll never have to worry about losing your luggage again!

Choosing Your Carry-On

Today we’re going to focus on what to pack and traveling with only a carry-on. I remember when I lost my luggage on one of my trips and it really did ruin my entire trip.  Now I encourage all my guests to travel with only a carry-on.

How do you do it? The first thing you need to do is get a high quality carry-on. I’ve had this carry-on for over 20 years and it hasn’t let me down yet. It is 18 inches so I can travel domestically or internationally with it.

It has a soft cover, so it can take a beating, and it has inline wheels which allow me to travel easily in the airport and will fit in the over head bin. Next, what do you pack?

What to Pack For Your Trip

Here’s what I call our ten travel essentials, they can all be worn during the day and dressed up for the evening:

  • First, I recommend a maxi dress in a solid color
  • Next, a dark jacket
  • A knee length dress or skirt
  • A pair of dark rinse jeans
  • A colorful shirt
  • A colorful sweater
  • A pair of heels and a pair of flats
  • A workout outfit
  • Lots of accessories
  • And an evening bag

And that’s it! Thanks for watching and be sure to stay tuned for our next Tuesday Tip in About a Minute.
